A quest may ask you to speak to a character, enter Freeplay, collect or dig for objects, finish several stages, or return for a reward. The important first step is identifying the exact live objective—similar-looking event areas have supported different quests at different times.
How to identify your quest
Before searching for locations, read the quest interface and note five facts:
- Quest name: A character or event name distinguishes it from an older seasonal activity.
- Objective verb: Finding, digging, collecting, completing rounds, and voting are different tasks.
- Required count: Seven chests and five gems should never be merged into one route without clear in-game instructions.
- Starting mode: Current Scarlet coverage begins in Freeplay; another quest might use the main lobby or a separate portal.
- Reward preview: A displayed item, set, badge, or currency amount helps confirm that the walkthrough matches.
Take a screenshot of this panel if the quest is long. If a walkthrough disagrees with any of these facts, trust the live interface and look for a newer guide.
Starting a quest correctly
Most failed quest routes begin before the objective is actually active. Enter the named area, locate the event character or marker, and complete the full conversation or cutscene. Wait for a tracker, counter, or confirmation message before interacting with the first collectible.
For the current Scarlet quest, join the official Dress To Impress experience, switch to Freeplay, and move toward the beach event area. Current community walkthroughs use the Scarlet character area as the starting reference. The exact prompt depends on your device: keyboard, touchscreen, and controller players should follow the live Roblox input shown on screen.
If the start marker is absent, verify the event’s current status. A server can be old, the reported window may have ended, or you may be in a normal runway round rather than Freeplay.
Tracking progress without losing your place
Use a fixed route and verify the counter after each action. An animation is not the same as registered progress. Keep a simple numbered list on another screen or mentally associate each completion with a landmark.
For collection objectives:
- approach slowly enough for the interaction prompt to appear;
- hold the control until its completion indicator finishes;
- wait for the quest counter or reward popup;
- move to the next landmark only after the count changes;
- revisit the whole route in order if the total is one short.
For multi-stage quests, read the next instruction after each stage. A portal, character, or object may not activate until the previous objective is turned in. Repeating the completed stage rarely fixes a missing next-step marker.
Current, returned, and ended quests
Quest information falls into three practical states.
Current
The objective appears in a live server and its name, count, mode, and reward match a dated guide. Current community coverage reports the Scarlet Treasure Hunt through September 4, 2026, but the live server is still the authority.
Returned or revised
The game may reuse a seasonal theme, character, or map while changing the route. A revised quest needs current instructions even if the reward resembles an older one. Compare the objective count and starting mode before assuming the old solution works.
Ended
The item can still exist in inventories, screenshots, and databases after its quest disappears. An ended quest is useful historical information, not an unlock method. Do not follow off-map glitches, scripts, or account-sharing offers that claim to restore a closed objective.
Avoiding mixed treasure routes
Current search results include multiple Dress To Impress treasure-style guides. Some refer to seven Scarlet dig points, while others mention gems, shells, a cove, or a different number of spots. Those may describe separate objectives or older versions.
Do not combine their steps unless the live quest explicitly connects them. For the current seven-location route, use landmarks such as the beach island, striped checkpoint, Recording Studio, colored houses, Freeplay Arena, and beach-road ladder. If the live panel instead asks for colored gems or another object type, stop and search by that exact objective name and current date.
Quest reward checklist
When the tracker reaches its target:
- Allow the completion panel to finish before leaving the server.
- Read whether the reward is an item, set piece, currency, badge, or substitute.
- Open the relevant dressing or inventory category and remove filters.
- Remember that an already-owned reward may be replaced with currency in some events.
- Save evidence of completion if the tracker closes without adding the expected reward.

Fixing a stuck quest
If the first objective does not activate, return to the quest starter and repeat the conversation. If the tracker is visible but an object does not register, approach from another angle and hold the displayed interaction control. On mobile, rotate the camera so the prompt is not covered by movement or dress-up controls.
If every location is inactive, join a fresh public server. If one location fails, collect another valid location and return. If progress resets across servers, check whether the event is designed for a single-session route and complete it without leaving.
For a final count that is one short, revisit each landmark in order and watch the counter, not the animation. Avoid random server hopping until you know which interaction failed; changing servers can make route tracking harder.

Dated community walkthroughs can supply exact coordinates and landmarks, but they should agree with the live objective before you rely on them.
